Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and sole child one of Richard McCormick. Her father taught school while her mother was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and frequently performed plays with puppets for the children from her neighborhood. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of six, which prompted a call from talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency who inquired whether she wanted to be in show business. McCormick found her first role as a major actress in 1964. She starred in a commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. In the following year, she appeared as Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for Wind It Up and It's Breaks by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children to play the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had an unmarried family. It lasted five years. McCormick, in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady And Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick told of how in the 5th season of the TV show, she was close to losing her virginity with her sister Barry Williams. He was 19 years old. She was 16. The two of us could have been in a couple, she added. However, the timing was not the right time.
